Termming, a member of the ENGIE Group, will invest additional EUR 1.2 million in the modernisation of the heat management in Malacky. The aim of the new project is to install two high-efficiency cogeneration units for combined heat and power (CHP).
In June 2016, ENGIE Services in Slovakia participated for the first time in the ENGIE Group’s international project aimed at promoting innovation – ENGIE Innovation Week 2016. The aim of the Innovation Week events, which took place simultaneously in 22 countries around the world, was to present existing innovations, search for new ones, evaluate the submitted projects and create a space for communication and networking.
Cofely, a leader in energy and complex property management, has been operating on the Slovak market under the new name ENGIE Services since May. The change, which follows last year’s global rebranding of ENGIE’s parent company, is currently underway across all countries in which ENGIE operates.
Cofely in Slovakia will change its business name and will be known as ENGIE Services a.s. with effect from 1 May 2016. Along with the business name, the company’s brand and logo will also change.
Last year Cofely invested more than EUR 1 750 thousand in the heat farms in Malacky, Senica and Vrakuni. The investments were related to the construction of cogeneration units and the installation of a gas boiler in Malacky, the replacement and installation of a new, more efficient gas boiler in the wood biomass boiler house in Senica and the installation of a new conveyor for the automatic transfer and dumping of ash in the wood biomass boiler house on Železničná Street in Vrakuni.
Cofely in Slovakia, as part of the ENGIE Group, will begin rebranding (changing the brand and logo) in the first quarter of 2016.

On 10 November 2015, at a special Old Town Council meeting, the councillors approved the extension of the lease agreement with Termming for a further 10 years. The subject of the lease are heat distribution and energy equipment.
Termming, a.s., a subsidiary of the Cofely Group, will provide heat production and supply to the inhabitants of Veľké Kapušiany from 1 January 2016. It will thus replace the existing producer and supplier of heat – MIBYT, s.r.o., Veľké Kapušany.
