At the beginning of this year, ENERGY Distribution, a member of the ENGIE Group, successfully completed the reconstruction of the 110/6 kV transformer station (TS) in the industrial park in Senica. The aim of the modernization was to create an unmanned TS with connection to ENGIE’s central dispatching.

The ENGIE Group invests millions of euros every year in the modernisation of its heating systems, which is one of the reasons why it has continuously succeeded in improving the energy efficiency of heat production and distribution. Thanks to modernisation, we can ensure a reliable supply of energy for the inhabitants of the towns where we operate heat farms, while at the same time saving primary energy resources, which will translate into a reduction in the cost of heat production, while also having a positive impact on the environment.
ENGIE Services has been successful in the tender and since October has continued to provide comprehensive property management services to the General Credit Bank. This is a continuation of 10 years of cooperation with the second largest bank in Slovakia. In contrast to the previous period, when ENGIE Services provided its services only for the head office and branches in the west and centre of the country, it has now managed to acquire the management of all the bank’s properties across Slovakia.
ENGIE in Slovakia launched a pilot project to test the NODA system during the 2018/2019 heating season. This system was deployed in the thermal management in Pezinok. The aim of the project is to optimise heat production and distribution, optimise the fuel mix and reduce fuel and operating costs. Two heating seasons of operation have produced measurable positive results.
