Since the new year ENGIE Services has been providing technical and infrastructure management and building maintenance services for 10 facilities of IMMOFINANZ Services SR. Specifically, these are STOP SHOP business parks located in various locations in Slovakia. The cooperation will last until the end of 2020.
“We believe that thanks to the mutually beneficial cooperation we will be able to reveal the hidden reserves of the project and we will be able to provide our tenants and customers, despite the high age of the building, with superior services. The cooperation is only at the beginning, but I am sure that both companies are ready to provide the required management approach and quality services due to their experience and the stable background of their parent companies,” concludes Peter Kremnický, Operations Manager at CBRE.
Technology today is evolving at an incredibly fast pace. The cutting-edge ideas of yesterday are being implemented today, and what was a cutting-edge technological gadget a week ago has now been surpassed. At this rate, installations of technology equipment with a 20-year lifecycle are an investment in the past. At some point in time, the technology systems used in the heating, power and industrial sectors will simply be obsolete and non-trendy.
In September it was one year since Termming, a member of the ENGIE Group, took over the thermal management of the municipality of Kanianka. At that time, it had already committed itself to fulfilling the submitted investment plan for a total amount of approximately 400 thousand euros. The intention was to connect the two circuits of the heat distribution systems of the existing boiler houses and to reconstruct one of the machine rooms. The plans are now beginning to turn into reality.
The project of modernisation, reconstruction and rationalisation of buildings and facilities in Malacky, implemented in 2015, using the Guaranteed Energy Service (GES) model was successful. The planned guaranteed energy savings of 28% were achieved and even exceeded while maintaining the comfort of the town’s inhabitants. In June 2017, Malacky was awarded the EFEKTIA award for the best energy efficiency project in the category of public buildings.
In August 2017, ENGIE Services successfully built and commissioned a new boiler house and delivered and installed the technology within the Klimkovičova II, Block B project. It is currently providing the same services for Block C, which is under construction. Thanks to the successful cooperation with the Titus development company, ENGIE has started work on the preparatory phase of the boiler room modernization in their next project, Borovicový háj in Košice.
In June, volunteers from ENGIE Services joined the nationwide project of the Pontis Foundation – Our Town. 15 colleagues exchanged computers for brooms, rakes, brushes and together they cleaned up the environment around Kozmos in the Ružinov district of Bratislava.
ENGIE Services in Slovakia has again this year actively participated in the international project ENGIE Innovation Week 2017, which is organized by the parent concern ENGIE.
ENGIE Services, as part of the ENGIE ECO Schools project, which was first implemented in 2015, supported 4 schools in Western Slovakia this year. Together with nearly a hundred pupils from selected fifth and sixth grades, as well as staff volunteers, they planted trees, shrubs and greenery in the schoolyards in April. In addition, the pupils took part in interactive lectures given by ENGIE Services employees and then visited local boiler houses to see the technologies used to generate heat.
ENGIE Services has been providing technical and environmental management services for ČSOB in the new Zuckermandel multifunctional building in Bratislava since April 2017. This follows on from the mobilisation phase of the cooperation, which included engineering activities carried out prior to the commissioning of the building and started in June 2016.
