Račianska teplárenská, a.s. informs the inhabitants of the Rača district about the situation related to energy assistance for households for the year 2026. Our company has provided the Ministry of Economy with all the required data in due time (September 2025) and we are currently providing maximum assistance to customers in solving their complaints.
The energy assistance mechanism for 2026 is fully under the competence of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. This means that the Ministry is responsible for the whole process and administers it. The role of the heat suppliers was exclusively to provide the requested data on heat supply. Račianska teplárenská handed over this data to the Ministry within the set deadline – already in September 2025.
Since that time, we have not received any further requests from the Department to supplement or verify the data. At the same time, heat suppliers do not have access to the energy assistance system and cannot make any adjustments to it.
After the launch of the energy assistance portal – 8 January 2026, households from the Rača district started to contact our company with complaints regarding incorrect data in the system. We responded to each call/email and helped customers to identify the points of consumption, confirmed the connection to the central heat supply (CHP) and guided them in the further procedure.
At the beginning of February (3.2.2026) we found out on the basis of the published table that Račianska teplárenská does not appear in the energy assistance database at all. We immediately alerted the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic to this fact and provided them with all the necessary documents to verify the situation and arrange a remedy.
Račianska teplárenská has fulfilled all legal reporting obligations and we are repeatedly trying to resolve the situation. We trust that the Ministry will rectify the situation without delay. In the meantime, we stand ready to continue to provide our customers with full cooperation in resolving their situation.
How can subscribers proceed?
If households encounter incorrect information when applying for energy assistance, it is recommended that:
- lodge an objection or complaint directly with the Ministry of Economy, which administers the energy assistance system,
- if necessary, request confirmation of connection to the central heat supply (CZT) from Račianska teplárenská, a.s.
