In April, Cofely successfully completed a project to replace the refrigeration and freezing technology in the warehouses of Ryba Žilina. The aim of the renovation was to achieve lower energy consumption, improve product quality and reduce negative environmental impacts through the installation of new technologies.
Residents in towns where heat is supplied by COFELY Group companies will pay less for heat this year. In addition to a milder winter, the price of heat has also been affected by the lower price of natural gas and investments in the development and modernisation of the heating plants operated by the COFELY Group.
The company Tepelné hospodárstvo Moldava commissioned a biomass boiler house in Moldava nad Bodvou.
The Slovak Antimonopoly Office has confirmed the takeover of the Slovak heating group Comeron Group by the French energy holding Cofely.
The EcoPoint building in Košice was officially awarded the LEED certificate on 23 September 2014. The EcoPoint Office Center green building has thus been definitively ranked among the groups of buildings with a responsible approach to the environment by receiving the international award. Cofely, a.s. participated in the construction project and the actual implementation. The project was designed using the best technologies on the market with an emphasis on economic and environmental aspects.
After the Cofely Group subsidiary Termming acquired the thermal power plant in Pezinok in 2013, it started significant investments in its renovation. Currently, the installation of KOSTs and the replacement of hot water pipelines is underway. The above-mentioned works mainly affect the residents receiving heat from the boiler houses Juh and Sever.
In December 2014, Cofely in Malacky successfully handed over an EPC (Energy Performance Contracting) project, the aim of which was the design and implementation of measures to reduce the energy consumption of thermal-technical equipment and buildings in the administration and property of the town – sports hall, municipal social services centre and cinema.
The public tender, the subject of which was the reconstruction of lighting in the town of Čadca, was won this year by the company Cofely, a.s. The contract in the amount of EUR 5 million will not burden the town, the company guarantees repayments from energy savings.
