We promote gender equality

We wish all women for today’s holiday joy of life, less stress, more relaxing moments with your family, success at work and lots of strength for the next life challenges ahead of you.

Wikipedia says that March 8 is an internationally recognized holiday, set by the United Nations, on the anniversary of the strike of 40,000 New York seamstresses. These determined women fought 115 years ago for the abolition of the ten-hour day, against low wages and poor working conditions.

Fortunately, today the situation is different for working women. Modern companies are constantly trying to improve their working conditions, equalise their status and support them in their career development.

For us at ENGIE, ensuring gender equality in business is a priority. For more than 10 years, the Group has supported the development of diversity strategies.

Via:

  • networking (Women in Networking 2008),
  • set rules and procedures on parenting, mentoring, equal pay, combating sexism, etc,
  • interviews with experts,
  • workshops and training,

At ENGIE, we strive to raise awareness of all forms of equality violations.

These activities and programmes are designed not only for our colleagues but also for our colleagues so that everyone understands the benefits and advantages of diversity and so that no one feels excluded.

In addition, we are committed to having 50% women in leadership roles by 2030 and 30% of our global workforce will be women. And since we are in the energy business, this goal is more than ambitious.
