Also this school year, as part of our professional practice, we were able to welcome and cooperate with young students from four technical secondary schools in Bratislava, Nitra and Košice.
The apprenticeship, which will end for them in a few weeks, has been running since September 2023. 15 students from the 3rd and 4th years in the study disciplines have participated in the apprenticeship:
- technician of energy equipment and buildings,
- electrical mechanic,
- plumber
- electromechanic of power engineering.
“We are trying to promote technical vocational education in Slovakia by means of students’ professional practice. That is why this year’s project is a continuation of the successful last year. We think that it is important for students to link the theoretical skills they have acquired with practical ones, and also to try working in real conditions and in a new team. After the apprenticeship, it is also possible to enter the workforce, which is certainly another benefit,” explains Daniela Godová, HR Manager at ENGIE Services.
Cooperation with the SUS is also important for us in terms of drawing attitudes and opinions from the generation that will soon be entering the workforce. Thanks to this unique perspective, we are finding out the expectations of young people on future employers.
We are already looking forward to the students’ work experience in the school year 2024/2025.
