Project: energy audit – Sports hall Malina, Malacky

Audit Objective:
The audit was developed in order to determine an economically efficient alternative for HVAC reconstruction in the building with regard to primary energy saving. The proposed measures took into account the objective of the audit and focused on sustainability and energy efficiency of energy production and distribution.
The following adjustments were listed as a proposed set of measures with regard to the efficiency of the investment:
- Outreach to staff, tenants and visitors
- Carrying out periodic operational checks on the proper functioning of all equipment and taking equipment out of service
- Fitting automatic taps for showers and washbasins
- Checking the thermal insulation on the piping
- Addition of missing heat meters
- Insulation of the vertical envelope
- Replacement of windows
- Roof insulation
- Sheathing insulation with U-profile
- Installation of photovoltaic local source (PVLZ) – 80kW
- Installation of a heat pump for pool water heating
- Replacement of non-functioning HVAC units for the sports hall
- External shading of glazed surfaces
Expected outcome of the audit:
The proposed measures, if the building is operated properly, can save 44% of the primary energy consumed.
