This year, the ENGIE Group will also invest in the modernisation of heating systems in Slovak towns and villages. The total investment, worth more than EUR 2.5 million, will be used to replace pipelines, outdated technologies and equipment. <\/p>\n\n
“Over the last 10 years we have invested almost 25 million euros in the renewal of the thermal power plants we operate in Slovakia. These considerable financial resources have paid off over the past decade mainly in the form of more efficient operation, higher efficiency of equipment and lower costs of heat production,” <\/em> says Miroslav Pajchl, Director of the ENGIE Services Energy Department.<\/p>\n\n The most important investment projects implemented by ENGIE Group companies this year include modernisation of thermal power plants in the Bratislava districts of Ra\u010da and Nov\u00e9 Mesto, in Skalica, Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161, Kanianka, Moldava nad Bodvou and Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kapu\u0161any. <\/p>\n\n The company Ra\u010dianska tepl\u00e1rensk\u00e1, which has been operating in Ra\u010da since 2005, in recent years in cooperation with the municipal district has reconstructed the boiler room in the V\u00fdchodn\u00e9 (Rendez) section, the substation in the Health Centre on Cyprichova Street and the heating system in the building of the Voluntary Fire Brigade on Detviansk\u00e1 Street and the Local Office on Kuba\u010dova Street.<\/p>\n\n This year, the company will contribute to the revival of the abandoned Plickova Primary School, where it will build a substation that will be connected to the existing central boiler room.<\/p>\n\n TERMMING took over the management of the operation of the heat management system in Bratislava Nov\u00e9 Mesto in 2019 and has since invested more than EUR 3 million in the renewal of its infrastructure and modernisation of its equipment. <\/p>\n\n Last year, it reconstructed 4.6 km of secondary distribution lines for central heating and TV connected to the Bratislavsk\u00e1 tepl\u00e1rensk\u00e1. This year it plans to modernise the equipment of gas boiler rooms on Vl\u00e1rska and Vi\u0161\u0148ov\u00e1 streets. In addition, it will replace 2 km of technically obsolete secondary distribution lines with new, pre-insulated pipes with a longer service life and better thermal insulation properties, which will reduce the risk of faults. <\/p>\n\n The total investment in modernisation, worth almost EUR 5 million, will contribute to the optimisation of operations and the efficiency of heat production and distribution. <\/p>\n\n SKAL & CO has been operating in Skalica since 1994 and during this period has invested a total of more than EUR 6.5 million in the renewal of infrastructure and modernisation of thermal equipment. <\/p>\n\n Last year it reconstructed the boiler house Tr\u00e1vniky at a total cost of almost 250 thousand euros. This year, it plans to connect the L\u00fa\u010dky apartment buildings to the central heat supply (CZT). The estimated value of the investment is EUR 200 thousand. <\/p>\n\n LMT has been operating in Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161 since 2009 and during this period it has invested more than 8 million euros in the modernization of the heat management.<\/p>\n\n This year, the company plans to reconstruct the pipelines on the boiler house circuit at N\u00e1bre\u017e\u00ed in the total value of almost 250 thousand euros. In addition, it will replace the pipelines on the boiler house circuits on Komensk\u00e9ho and Guotha Streets. In the boiler house on Jesensk\u00e9ho street, the equipment used for heat production will be modernised by the end of the year. The total value of this investment will exceed EUR 200 thousand. <\/p>\n\n TERMMING has been operating in Kanyanka since 2017 and during this period it has invested more than EUR 520 thousand in modernization. <\/p>\n\n This year it plans to replace the outdated chipped boiler in the boiler room on \u0160kolsk\u00e1 Street with a new, modern boiler with better technical characteristics and more efficient operation. The total value of the investment will reach almost 300 thousand euros. Thanks to the replacement of the boiler, the share of wood chips in the total heat production in Kanianka will increase from the current 50% to almost 70%. <\/p>\n\n The company Heat Economy Moldava has been operating in Moldava nad Bodvou since 1997. This year it plans to connect a new multifunctional hall on Ro\u017e\u0148avsk\u00e1 Street to its own heat transfer station. The total value of the investment will reach EUR 90 thousand. <\/p>\n\n TERMMING, which has been operating in Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kapu\u0161any since 2016, has invested a total of more than EUR 2.5 million in the renewal of the infrastructure and modernisation of the heat management facilities during this period. <\/p>\n\n Last year, it reconstructed 2.5 km of technically obsolete heat distribution lines, delivered and installed 25 domestic heat transfer stations, installed metering and control and modified the technology in one of the gas boiler rooms.<\/p>\n\n This year, it is actively preparing for the next stage of modernisation of the heat distribution system in the city. Expert teams from the Project Implementation Division are currently working on the preparation of project documentation. The estimated value of the investment within the 2nd stage of the modernization of the distribution system will be EUR 1.5 million. <\/p>\n\n “<\/em>Modernisation of the thermal management<\/em> is advantageous and beneficial not only for its operator, but also for the end customer. More efficient operation saves costs for <\/em>production and distribution of heat<\/em> and reduces the consumption of primary energy sources. As a result, it positively influences the final price of heat, which is nowadays sensitively perceived by consumers due to the energy crisis. In addition, modern equipment and technologies reduce the carbon footprint and thus improve the environment in our country,” <\/em> concludes Miroslav Pajchl.<\/p>\n\n Confirmation that investments in the development of heat management are paying off is the fact that this year ENGIE Group companies have returned more than EUR 5 million in overpayments for heat to residents in the localities in which they operate. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" This year, the ENGIE Group will also invest in the modernisation of heating systems in Slovak towns and villages.
