We intend to continue this investment project this year, specifically with the installation of 2 more power plants, with a capacity of 139 kWp, which are currently under construction. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>The ENGIE Group started the construction of 6 photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of our boiler houses and heat transfer stations (OST) in Skalica, Liptovsk\u00fd Mikul\u00e1\u0161 and Bratislava at the beginning of 2023. The power plants, with 495 photovoltaic panels and a total capacity of 270 kWp, were put into operation gradually and today all of them are already contributing to the environmentally friendly production of heat in our heating plants. Thanks to the green project, ENGIE will thus generate 270 MWh of renewable electricity from the sun per year, which represents a carbon saving of 38 tonnes of CO\u2082.  <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/20230320_145000.jpg\" alt=\"  class=\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p><em>&#8220;At ENGIE, we have a long-standing commitment to helping our clients meet their decarbonisation goals. And since decarbonisation strategies are also key for ourselves, we decided to use the potential of the empty roofs on our thermal plants to install photovoltaic plants. We also use the green electricity we generate through photovoltaics within our plants, for green heat production,&#8221;  <\/em>  says Miroslav Mravec, Investment Director of the Energy Division at ENGIE Group.  <\/p>\n\n<p>Currently, we have other investment projects underway for the construction of 2 photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 139 kWp in Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kapu\u0161any. Once commissioned, the plants will produce 139 MWh of green electricity per year, saving 20 tonnes of CO\u2082. <\/p>\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Photovoltaic power plants on the roofs of our thermal plants are not the only RES projects we are installing in Slovakia.
