The Group&#8217;s new name is ENGIE.   <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the GDF SUEZ Group (now ENGIE), the name change now also applies to GDF SUEZ Italy (now ENGIE Italy) and GDF SUEZ North America (now ENGIE North America). G\u00e9rad Mestrallet, CEO of the ENGIE Group, explains the reasons for the change: <\/p>\n<p> <em>&#8220;The topic of changes in the use of traditional energy sources, and their replacement by alternative options, is more relevant now than ever. In this area we have not only great ambitions but also great responsibilities. Part of meeting the demanding goals and challenges that these changes entail is changing our Group&#8217;s name. GDF SUEZ is now ENGIE. ENGIE is a simple and powerful name whose meaning represents energy for everyone and works in all cultures. With a presence in 70 countries around the world, using a variety of energy sources, ENGIE wants to be a benchmark for other energy players in emerging markets and a European leader in the use of alternative energies.&#8221;  <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Advertising campaign <\/strong><br \/>\nAn advertising campaign (TV, press, internet and social media) is currently underway in France and Europe to promote the new ENGIE name.
