One of the country’s strongest multi-energy partners is being formed<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Veolia Energia Slovensko<\/a> Group announces that, following approval from the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic and the fulfillment of all conditions, it has successfully completed the acquisition of selected companies of the ENGIE Group in Slovakia. The transaction is based on a share purchase agreement signed on January 14, 2026. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Seven companies are joining the Veolia<\/a> Group: ENGIE Services, a. s., Ra\u010dianska tepl\u00e1rensk\u00e1 a. s., Prv\u00e1 ru\u017einovsk\u00e1 spolo\u010dnos\u0165 a. s., and their subsidiaries ENERGY DISTRIBUTION a. s., TERMMING a. s., Tepeln\u00e9 hospod\u00e1rstvo Moldava a. s., and LMT a. s.<\/p>\n

The result is the creation of one of the strongest private energy companies in Slovakia, with revenue exceeding 490 million euros and more than 1,370 employees.<\/p>\n

There are no easy solutions in the energy sector today. Clients\u2014both cities and industry\u2014are simultaneously addressing three key challenges: security of supply, affordability, and sustainability. <\/p>\n

\u201cBoth groups have a long history and a strong reputation in the Slovak market. We combine Veolia\u2019s strength in energy resources and infrastructure with ENGIE\u2019s<\/a> close relationship with customers. This allows us to offer clients a comprehensive energy service\u2014a solution that integrates energy production, energy savings, and risk management, and helps them navigate the energy transition as a whole,\u201d <\/em> says Peter Dobr\u00fd, CEO of the Veolia Energia Slovensko Group. This gives clients a partner that allows them to combine individual services as needed or take advantage of a comprehensive \u201cone-stop\u201d solution. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis partnership is part of the Veolia Group\u2019s long-term strategic direction in Slovakia and reflects developments in the energy market, the growing importance of decentralized energy solutions, and the need to strengthen customer-focused services. We have created a stronger platform for the development of energy services, technical management, local energy solutions, and projects focused on efficiency, flexibility, and decarbonization,” <\/em> adds Peter Dobr\u00fd.<\/p>\n

Nothing changes for customers. Energy supplies and property management services will continue without interruption, and all existing contracts remain in effect. Ongoing projects will be completed according to the original schedule. At the same time, clients gain access to a broader portfolio of services and new solutions in the energy sector. <\/p>\n

ENGIE Group employees will remain part of the new entity. The merger will take place gradually, with an emphasis on preserving the teams\u2019 expertise and continuity. <\/p>\n

ENGIE Services, a. s. is changing its trade name to Veolia Energetick\u00e9 Slu\u017eby Slovensko. Other new names within the group include: Veolia Distrib\u00facia Slovensko, Veolia Teplo Slovensko, and Veolia Energia Moldava.
