Our investments, worth a total of \u20ac18 million, were directed towards the<a href=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/en\/decarbonisation\/\"> construction of renewable energy sources<\/a>, modern cogeneration units, photovoltaics and battery storage facilities &#8211; with the aim of reducing CO\u2082 emissions, fossil fuel consumption and increasing energy security for cities and industry.  <\/strong><\/p>\n<h4><strong>OUR INVESTMENT 2025:  <\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u20ac 2.5 million<\/strong> &#8211; modernisation of thermal management<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u20ac 15.5 million<\/strong> &#8211; energy development projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Modernization of centralized heat supply in Senica<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Senica we are carrying out an extensive <a href=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/en\/modernisation-of-the-heat-management-in-senica-for-7-4-million-euro\/\">modernisation of the centralised heat supply system<\/a>. The project includes the reconstruction of primary and secondary distribution systems, modernisation of heat transfer stations and increasing the efficiency of the entire system. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Total investment:<strong>  \u20ac 7.4 million (2025 &#8211; 2026) <\/strong><\/li>\n<li>New primary pipelines: <strong>1 679 m<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Rehabilitation of secondary distribution lines:<strong> 3 699 m<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Emission savings: <strong>1 600 tonnes CO\u2082 per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/en\/towns-and-municipalities\/\">The modernisation<\/a> will bring more comfort for the residents, a more stable system with a longer service life, fewer breakdowns and better regulation of the heat supply.  <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Biomass boiler house and thermal infrastructure for Stellantis Slovakia  <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Trnava we are building one of the most important decarbonisation projects in the industry in Slovakia. <a href=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/en\/engie-services-invests-eur-17-5-million-in-renewable-heat-infrastructure-at-stellantis-slovakia-plant-in-trnava\/\">A new biomass boiler house and a complex thermal infrastructure<\/a> will supply energy to the key technological operations of the Stellantis Slovakia plant.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biomass boiler plant output: <strong>9 MW<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Length of pipelines: <strong>3.9 km<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Natural gas savings: <strong>~50 %<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Emission reductions: <strong>~10 000 tonnes CO\u2082 per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11232\" src=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1021.jpg\" alt=\"biomass boiler house stellantis slovakia trnava\" width=\"445\" height=\"333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1021.jpg 4032w, https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_1021-600x450.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 445px) 100vw, 445px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The project is a model example of the use of renewable sources in an energy-intensive industrial operation. It is the first of a series of investments planned to support the<a href=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/en\/industry\/\"> energy transformation of Slovak industry<\/a> towards <strong>lower emissions, higher efficiency and long-term competitiveness<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n<h2><strong>Cogeneration and biomass source in Pezinok<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Pezinok, we are preparing the construction of a new combination of renewable source and cogeneration, which will ensure efficient production of heat and electricity for the entire locality.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Biomass boiler: <strong>299 kW<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Cogeneration: <strong>200 kWe \/ 304 kWt<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Emission savings: <strong>~305 tonnes CO\u2082 per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The aim of the project is to increase energy self-sufficiency and reduce long-term energy costs.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11234\" src=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/fb8b372d-97b8-40ef-ac5a-49bfd746a8e1.jpeg\" alt=\"cogeneration pezinok\" width=\"451\" height=\"254\"><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Photovoltaic power plants in Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kapu\u0161any<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We have installed <strong>two photovoltaic power plants<\/strong> on the roofs of the boiler houses in Ve\u013ek\u00e9 Kapu\u0161any, which will produce their own renewable electricity directly for the needs of the plants.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Power: <strong>55 kW + 60 kW<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Own electricity production<\/li>\n<li>Higher energy self-sufficiency<\/li>\n<li>Emission reductions: <strong>~27 tonnes CO\u2082 per year<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11230\" src=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/20260417_081534.jpg\" alt=\"photovoltaics velke kapusany\" width=\"451\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/20260417_081534.jpg 4080w, https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/20260417_081534-600x450.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 451px) 100vw, 451px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Modernisation of cogeneration in Malacky<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In Malacky, we completed the replacement of the cogeneration units in the biomass boiler house, which significantly increased the efficiency of energy production.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Electrical power: <strong>616 kWe<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Thermal output:<strong> 730 kWt<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-11251\" src=\"https:\/\/engie.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20260415_140844401_HDR-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"408\" height=\"545\"><\/p>\n<p>The modernisation will enable more efficient use of the electricity generated and greater stability of energy supply.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 20.16px;\"><strong>Building a sustainable energy future<\/strong><\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>&#8220;We are systematically investing in modernising the energy sector to deliver real savings, greater security of supply and measurable emissions reductions.
