ENGIE Services was also a partner of the professional conferences Facility Management Days 2019 and EnergyCamp 2019 in May and June this year. ENGIE was actively involved in the programme of both conferences by participating in similar lectures on the topics of digitalization in the energy sector, the advantages of using energy management and optimization of heat production and distribution in the thermal management.
The ENGIE Group supported 3 schools in western and eastern Slovakia again this year as part of the ENGIE ECO Schools project. The project also included planting of greenery, which was carried out in September and October by employees of ENGIE Group companies together with pupils from primary schools in Moldava nad Bodvou and Skalica and students from the Secondary Vocational School of Crafts and Technologies in Bratislava.
In June, volunteers from ENGIE Services joined the nationwide project of the Pontis Foundation – Our Town. 15 colleagues exchanged computers for brooms, rakes, brushes and together they cleaned up the environment around Kozmos in the Ružinov district of Bratislava.
ENGIE Services, as part of the ENGIE ECO Schools project, which was first implemented in 2015, supported 4 schools in Western Slovakia this year. Together with nearly a hundred pupils from selected fifth and sixth grades, as well as staff volunteers, they planted trees, shrubs and greenery in the schoolyards in April. In addition, the pupils took part in interactive lectures given by ENGIE Services employees and then visited local boiler houses to see the technologies used to generate heat.
ENGIE Services supports many sports projects in Slovakia. For several years it has been a partner of the basketball club INTER BRATISLAVA. In the last quarter of 2016, it decided to support the most successful women’s basketball club Good Angels Košice.
